Welcome to the first ever RTIH Top 50 Retail Technology Influencers List, sponsored by Selazar.
This annual offering, which is presented in no particular order, covers retailers, technology suppliers, startups, consultants, analysts, and thought leaders who are making an impact in the retail technology space during 2021.
Marc Lore
Earlier this year, Marc Lore, President and CEO, Walmart E-commerce US, announced that he was leaving the big box retailer at the end of the month.
He will stay on as a consultant through to September. Lore came onboard in 2016 when Walmart acquired Jet.com, the startup that he co-founded, for $3.3 billion.
According to his LinkedIn profile, new ventures will be announced soon. We can’t wait!
Andy Jassy
Earlier this year, it was announced that Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos would transition to the role of Executive Chair in the e-commerce giant’s Q3 this year.
Amazon Web Services Chief Andy Jassy will become CEO at that time.
Suresh Kumar
Suresh is Global Chief Technology Officer and Chief Development Officer at Walmart.

Dan Rose
Dan served as Director, Business Development at Amazon during the e-commerce giant’s early years.
He went on to join Facebook and these days is Chairman at Coatue Ventures.

How did we identify the top 50?
We used a variety of sources to select our top 50, including feedback from industry observers, research within our own networks, and social media tools.
In addition to social presence, we also took into account award winners, event speakers, books published, media appearances, and people building innovative companies, solutions etc in the retail space.
