Walmart’s technology arm, Walmart Labs, is planning to hire more than 2,000 employees by the end of the year, as the retailer ramps up its e-commerce strategy. 

It currently has around 6,000 technologists who work on projects for both Walmart’s US stores and e-commerce businesses. The new roles include data scientists, engineers and product managers.
