UK startup jisp has partnered with Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance (HIOWAA) to facilitate cashless donations.

With the jisp app downloaded and a payment card added, the user taps or scans a NFC sticker to donate a specified amount to the charity. Money is transferred and verified by Visa or Mastercard.

“As less and less people carry cash in their pockets, we came up with a solution to help charities collect more donations using the device people always have in their pockets – their mobile phones,” says Julian Fisher, CEO at jisp.

“Despite having a small team, we always strive to make a difference in the world with our solutions, and now we can prove this by supporting a truly worthwhile cause. We are really looking forward to seeing the results in the coming months.”
