RTIH rounds up the retail technology ventures who have been making waves with major investments.

1. Locus Robotics

Warehouse robotics startup Locus Robotics has raised $40 million in Series D funding led by Zebra Ventures.

2. Alkemics

Alkemics, a Paris-based venture whose platform enables brands to launch products with retailers, has bagged €21 million in a Series C funding round.

3. Ontruck

Logistics technology company Ontruck has raised €17 million in a round led by the Oil and Gas Climate Initiative.

4. Buymie

Irish grocery delivery startup Buymie has announced a €5.8 million funding round, taking its total capital raised this year to over €8 million.

5. Checkout.com

UK-based PayTech venture Checkout.com has tripled its valuation to $5.5 billion following a $150 million Series B funding round.

Led by Coatue Management, this comes one year after the payments processor raised a record early funding round for a European FinTech company, pegging its valuation at about $2 billion. 

6. Uncrowd

Retail analytics startup Uncrowd has completed a £500,000 seed funding round with the announcement of Phil Barden as an angel investor in its Friction/Reward Indexing platform.

This was opened on a rolling basis over two years ago and has now closed as it is fully subscribed.
