Matthew Hully is gearing up to leave Farfetch after 4.5 years, during which time he served as Director of CRM & Loyalty.
In a LinkedIn post, he said: “There have seen some incredible highs and some pretty tough periods to boot! I’m very glad that I could play a small part in the recovery of the business after the financial distress of Q4 2023. Thanks to Coupang for the stability they brought during 2024, and it’s great that the business is now back focused on growth in 2026.”
He added: “As a believer that all businesses fundamentally are built on the power of human relationships, thanks to team members and colleagues both past and present - from Jessica Nesbitt who brought me in to Erwan Jacob who is the most calm, level headed leader you could wish to meet. To the fantastic global team in CRM, Loyalty & Analytics, its been a privilege to see you guys grow professionally - and you’re in great hands with Ruby Burton, George Williams and Tomás Lagoá Iglésias. And to Janine Oliveira Lagoute and Bernardo Abreu in the Portugal Product team - you’ve been there right from the very start and we’ve accomplished a lot together.”
Hully concluded: “There is never a perfect time to leave a job, and I'm not sure my wardrobe has improved as much as I hoped when I first joined, but on a more serious note it’s great that we’re just completing the final steps of our migration to MoEngage which I know will be game changing for Farfetch over these coming months and years. Properly leveraging data, the heralded single customer view, dynamic targeting and AI powered - that’s the future for sure. Next month I start a completely new exciting adventure, out of my 20 year retail comfort zone which is the best place to be to learn and grow, but more on that later.”
2026 RTIH Innovation Awards
CRM and loyalty will be a key focus area at the 2026 RTIH Innovation Awards.
The awards are now open for entries and celebrate global retail technology innovation in a fast moving omnichannel world.
Our winners will be revealed at the 2026 RTIH Innovation Awards Ceremony, taking place at The HAC in Central London on Wednesday, 4th November.
Check out our 2025 winners here.
Our 2025 hall of fame entrants were revealed during a sold out event which took place at The HAC on 16th October and consisted of a drinks reception, three course meal, and awards ceremony presided over by award winning comedian, actress and writer Tiff Stevenson.
In his welcome speech, Scott Thompson, Founder and Editor, RTIH, said: “This is the awards’ fifth year as a physical event. We started off with just 30 people at the South Place Hotel not far from here, then moved to London Bridge Hotel, then The Barbican, and last year RIBA’s HQ in the West End.”
“But I’m conscious of the fact that, to quote the legend that is Taylor Swift, You’re only as hot as your last hit, baby. So, this year we’ve moved to our biggest venue yet, and also pulled in our largest number of entries to date and broken attendance records.”
He added: “This year’s submissions have without doubt been our best yet. To quote one of the judges: The examples of innovative developments across both traditional and digital retail spaces were truly remarkable.”
Congratulations to our winners, and a big thank you to our sponsors, judging panel, the legend that is Tiff Stevenson, and all those who attended our 2025 gathering.
